About the Center
About the MCC
The MCC is a citizen-built and run facility open for public use for events, gardening, entertainment and recreational activities throughout the year.
We welcome your use of the grounds and the building’s space for artistic, cultural, educational and social functions of all types suitable to our physical location and size.
The building
The Monterey Community Center is housed in a beautifully renovated historic building, made possible by the visionary community leadership and generous donation of Edith Wilson, who donated the house to the town. Located in the heart of Monterey just a short drive from Lake Garfield, we offer an array of programs for public participation and we invite you to join us!
We welcome your input on what would be of interest to you. Contact us any time to propose an event. For more information about the building the it’s history please visit the History of the MCC.
The garden
In warmer months, we offer lovely garden plots for members of the community to grow their own produce, herbs or flowers for their own use or for sharing.
Please inquire for space by contacting us.
